Engineering Intern
SUMMARY
This is technical work supporting and improving manufacturing
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Understand production- work as operator in molding, paint, and assembly (1-2 wks each)
· Understand Molding (work with mold tech and engineer - (1-2 wks)
· Understand Paint - Work with paint tech and engineer - (1-2 wks)
· Understand Assembly - work with maintenance tech and engineer (1-2 wks)
· Assist in mold samples
· Assist in tool room to learn injection tools
· Work with engineers to do time studies
· Develop WIP packaging
· Put together production instructions (OIS,QIS,Process sheets, Quality alerts...)
· Participate and put together PPS
· Work with Launch champion as needed
· Mock up parts to simulate engineering changes
· Write work orders
· Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Enrollment in an Engineering degree program.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Possess the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position typically does not require any travel.
