JOB SUMMARY

 

Reporting to the HRBP Senior Manager, this position ensures effective application of Human Resource policies, programs, and processes in support of production operations and team members’ needs. Provides HR business partnering to multiple TWG facilities in the areas recruiting/selection, complaint investigation/response, performance management, pay administration actions/transfers, job description development and career pathing, among other HR functional areas. Works with operations management to develop and implement positive culture building programs, employee appreciation/recognition, and proactive employee communications. Provides guidance to management on Human Resource policy, Federal, State, and local laws and regulations and corrective actions. Helps to create and implement training for team leader and team member development.

 

This role is eligible for hybrid-based work. There will be required routine travel to the Soledad, CA, Livermore, CA and Glen Ellen, CA sites. The preferred candidate location being within easy commuting distance of the Soledad, CA area.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Provide face-to-face support to frontline operations within multiple TWG facilities contributing to a safe and healthy work culture.
  • Provide counsel and support to leadership on issues of company policy application, personnel gaps, HR needs and provides HR services to team members.
  • Provide direct support to operations in resolving employee relation issues; investigate, counsel, and assist in resolving disputes.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations, analyze organizational issues, and work in partnership with the HR Manager to develop and execute plans to address problem areas.
  • Provide guidance on employment related items (such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, diversity, corrective action, and progressive discipline) to operations leadership.
  • Prepare reports and identifies trends in employee related issues, turnover and performance trends and provides solutions to operations leadership.
  • Facilitate HR processes to ensure an ethical, fair, and consistent approach.
  • Reinforce model for sustaining positive employee relations and positive culture building.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of effective onboarding, training, org charts and development programs, and skill proficiency.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Expertise (CoE’s) within the HR team to achieve business goals and strategies.
  • Support the development and administration of programs, policies, and processes to facilitate employee and organizational development.
  • Provide counseling and direction to employees, facilitate communication, and help to resolve conflicts that impact employee culture.
  • Support recruiting efforts and participate in the planning and execution of activities and events to fill all open and seasonal positions in the assigned area.
  • Assist with the organization's performance management process by coaching, educating, and providing feedback to managers/supervisors.
  • Participate in proactive communications, employee relations/recognition and appreciation programs.
  • Perform other assignments as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources management or related field: Required (combination of relevant work experience and education considered).
  • 3 - 5 years Human Resource professional experience.
  • PHR/SPHR Certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of enhancing employee work culture.
  • Successfully supported Human Resources within a manufacturing setting.
  • Possess strong functional expertise in Human Resources, leadership and stakeholder management, communication planning and change management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of federal and CA state laws relevant to the food & beverage manufacturing industry. Proficient in MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel) and HRIS systems, or other related systems.
  • Must have a well-developed attention to detail, including ability to keep accurate records.
  • Possess excellent verbal & written communication, Spanish is a plus.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License and be able to drive for the organization.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

  • Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Working environment may be both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to related equipment and noise levels.
