Operator - Packaging Machine Acupac Packette Operator Direct

Title: Packaging Machine Operator

Hours: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM - Monday-Friday
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Department: Operations

Basic Function: Maintain efficient and economical operation of the packaging and filling lines

Responsibilities: Operate packaging and filling lines after cleaning and set up operations have been completed.

• Work with Q/A on the release of machine and product being manufactured.

• Insure that before starting the machine that proper line clearance from the previous job has been executed and that proper components and material are brought to the machine for the new start up.

• Meet all standards set for each operation.

• Perform proper daily cleaning and maintenance of work center and work area.

• Record production date, post production information both electronically and paper, and complete Q/A reports and pallet tickets.

• Perform any other duties as assigned and trained.
  

Qualifications:

• Ability to carry out a large number of manual assembly and machine related duties in compliance with customer and Acupac’s quality and quantity standards.

• Excellent visual inspection required to identify any defects on line.

• Excellent clerical ability needed to accurately record necessary data on line with good mathematical aptitude.

• Good eye/hand coordination, finger and manual dexterity needed to group products, position, label, insert package, etc. at required production proficiency standards.

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

• High School or equivalent.

• Must have ability to read, write and comprehend operating procedures in English.

• Position requires on the job training of the necessary machine skills, including proper operation, adjustments, maintenance, and the ability to work safely.

• Good interpersonal skills.

• Basic computer skills as necessary.​

• Bi-lingual a plus (Spanish/English).
