Hajoca Corporation is one of the country’s largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Founded in 1858, Hajoca is a company based on the principles of “Service, Integrity, Reliability,” and on relationships of trust and support with teammates, customers, and suppliers.  Throughout its history, Hajoca has played an active role in shaping advances in plumbing. However, we attribute our success to two simple truths; a unique business philosophy and talented people. Hajoca is all about the people, who give us our advantage, and who will guide us successfully into the future.

Although Hajoca is a large company, we work in a decentralized environment where each of our locations, called Profit Centers (PCs), is run by the Profit Center Manager as if it were their own small business. A typical Profit Center is the heart of our business and consists of a warehouse, counter, sales office, and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business under unique trade names and offer a customized business approach, honoring what’s special about each local marketplace.

J & H Aitcheson is one of those trade names and is looking for a Non-CDL Delivery Driver / Warehouse Employee at their Manassas, VA location

Pay for this position is between $18 and $21 per hour at this location.

Are you friendly and do you thrive on providing great customer service?  Are you detail-oriented and safety conscious? Do you enjoy working independently?  If so, we’d like you to join our team as a Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) / Warehouse Employee.

About the Role:

You will spend most of your day on the road making deliveries to construction sites as well as plumbing shops.

About the Day to Day:

The day starts at 5am. Ideally the truck is loaded with pipe the day prior, and you can create your manifest, load boxes onto the truck and get started driving. (Currently, we are loading boxes and pipe the morning of).

The 1st stop is typically 1+ hours away. At the job site, it is required to unload the material yourself. The material may consist of boxes, skids, water heaters, and lengths of 20' PVC pipe. This material is often required to be placed in the garage of a house under construction, which requires one to carry the material a short distance. This job is rain or shine and sometimes the jobs sites can be muddy, regardless, the material still needs to be placed where it is requested of us.

Upon returning late in the morning to the shop from the 1st run, 2nd run deliveries often consist of miscellaneous material to local plumbing shops.

To conclude the day, it is expected that the pipe will be loaded onto the truck for the following day.

Any slow day will consist of warehouse work, which involves receiving and putting away material.

If you are an independent worker, capable of problem solving to complete deliveries as required, we are interested in having you join our team! We are searching for a fast-paced, customer-facing, personable individual that is looking to contribute to the team effort. This could be the beginning of a career! Beyond driving with our company, there is opportunity for advancement. Coming inside and learning the material and processes in the warehouse will lead to material knowledge. Beyond that, with the right individual/personality, there are opportunities to join our counter sales and inside sales teams. We would love to find an individual today that is interested in taking the first step to a career with us.
