Dunwoody Village is a mission driven, single site, not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) with a 5 Star CMS rating. We are celebrating 100 Years of nursing care and 50 Years as a CCRC! Well-known for excellence in skilled nursing and healthcare, Dunwoody Village recently completed a $24M addition and renovation to our community center. Dunwoody is nestled on 83 acres in beautiful Newtown Square, with close to 1 million square feet of residential, licensed and common space. Dunwoody Village has a warm and welcoming environment, a culture of respect, and values both residents and staff. 

We are seeking a Director of Healthcare Services who will think and act strategically, employ innovative solutions, build relationships, use sound business practices and mentor and empower team members to provide the highest quality of care for our residents and further position Dunwoody as the community of choice in our region. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this position is responsible for all aspects of health and wellness including skilled nursing, personal care, and outpatient services. 

Candidates should have thorough knowledge of large, complex healthcare environments and the continuum of care, and be licensed as an NHA in the state of PA. This is an interesting and exciting opportunity to join our executive team to lead strategic planning and shape the future of an established and well recognized organization. The candidate must be familiar with applicable laws and government regulations related to long term healthcare. 

Our successful incumbent will perform the following:

  • Embody and articulate the vision and mission of the organization inside and outside of the community.
  • Uphold the Dunwoody Village Code of Conduct.
  • Ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the Department of Health, Department of Human Services, and Life Safety.
  • Lead in a manner that consistently promotes collaboration, trust, openness, honesty, integrity, empowerment, and shared accountability for success.
  • Exhibit leadership and management skills necessary to ensure that all departments provide exceptional service.
  • Recognizes the importance of mentorship and offers support and guidance to staff.
  • Act as the organization's Privacy and Grievance Officer; Chair the healthcare committee.
  • Cultivate and maintain constructive communication with residents, staff members, clinicians, partners, and members of the community at large.
  • Promote a workplace culture that attracts, supports, empowers, and retains all members of our healthcare team.

Our successful incumbent will have the following experience/education/credentials/skills:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience as an administrator healthcare with experience in a CCRC strongly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
