Position Summary

This position directly contributes to the overall success of Cold Jet by maximizing our business growth strategy through exceptional customer service focused on proactively seeking and building long-term relationships with existing customers and acquiring new customers. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible to qualify and sell Cold Jet machines, parts, and services to existing customers while also prospecting and developing new opportunities in a wide variety of industrial and service industry applications. This position reports to the respective Sales Vice President or Regional Sales Director for the region in which the TSM supports. The ideal candidate for TSM will have a territory in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa.

 

Position Responsibilities

 

  • Meet or exceed budgeted sales in assigned territory on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Execute the sales process from initial customer contact through completion of the order to long-term customer follow-up
  • Conduct sales calls, site surveys, application evaluations and on-site training for new and existing customers
  • Build relationships with customers to increase referrals for new machines, sales of new machines, sales of parts and services, and also to gain recognition as a point of contact
  • Sell consultatively while making recommendations to prospects of various Cold Jet solutions
  • Create and work within an annual business plan in conjunction with the Vice President of Sales to exceed the sales budget and expand the existing customer base
  • Efficiently perform basic equipment maintenance, minor repairs and upgrades at the customer site and arrange for larger repairs for the customer to maximize machine uptime
  • “Own” Customer requests and issues, including the completion of warranty work. Follow-up with customers to ensure 100% satisfaction
  • Proactively schedule Preventative Maintenance Inspections for existing customer base inside assigned territory
  • Maintain company vehicle, assigned equipment and parts inventory for product demonstrations, sale and repairs
  • Prepare quotes or other administrative sales supports as needed
  • Develop qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, cold calls, direct mail, email, and networking
  • Maintain customer and sales data in Epicor, CONNECT and in CRM system, both as a selling tool and as a means of gathering information used by sales management and marketing to strategically grow the business
  • Participate as a team member in the development of Cold Jet’s sales and marketing infrastructure and strategy and such other activities as required and assigned to help the company overall
  • Continue learning about Cold Jet products and services
  • Gather knowledge about the applications for which customers and prospects seek our products. Seek out competitive practices and product knowledge. Communicate this information back to management and marketing

 

Position Requirements

Education & Experience

 

  • 4-year degree within a business or engineering discipline is preferred or five years of experience successfully selling capital or industrial goods in a business-to-business environment

 

Skill Competencies

 

  • Strong business communication skills from oral presentations to written proposals
  • Able to communicate at all levels within an organization and engage others in conversation, relate, and persuade building rapport with customers
  • Technically savvy with the ability to learn, discuss, and repair products on a technical level
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Knowledgeable in business economics, value propositions, and financial analysis of benefit versus cost
